The Jeep Wrangler has increasingly blurred the traditional boundaries between old-school off-road hardware and modern electrification. This 2024 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara 4xe, currently offered on Cars & Bids, is a particularly well-equipped example of that formula, combining the four-door Unlimited body with Jeep’s plug-in hybrid powertrain, 4WD, upscale Sahara equipment, and relatively restrained modifications. Finished in Bright White with a black interior, the Wrangler has accumulated 28,700 miles and carries a clean California title.
Turbocharged 4xe Powertrain
At the center of the Sahara 4xe is Jeep’s 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four, supplemented by two electric motors and a 17.3-kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The system produces approximately 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, with an eight-speed automatic transmission sending power through a two-speed transfer case.
That output gives the Wrangler 4xe substantially more torque than the conventional 2.0-liter turbo engine while retaining the mechanical architecture expected of a Wrangler. Jeep rates the 4xe at up to 49 MPGe combined and up to 3,500 pounds of towing capacity, although real-world results naturally depend on battery charge, terrain, temperature, and driving conditions.
The 4xe system is significant because it does not attempt to turn the Wrangler into a conventional crossover. Instead, electric propulsion is integrated with the Wrangler’s established four-wheel-drive architecture, preserving the model’s fundamental off-road identity.
Sahara Specification and Equipment
This example is particularly notable for its factory equipment. The auction listing documents the Technology Group, 20-inch wheels, Dana 44 heavy-duty front and rear axles, sport suspension, a body-colored three-piece hardtop, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and an Alpine premium audio system.
The 2024 model year also brought the JL Wrangler’s significant mid-cycle update, including a redesigned grille treatment and a substantially upgraded cabin centered around a 12-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen. The combination makes this Sahara less spartan than traditional Wranglers while maintaining the removable-roof, upright-body character that defines the model.
Lightly Modified and Well Documented
Modifications are limited to aftermarket side steps and a Bestop Sunrider soft-top panel. The seller also reports tinted windows. That restrained approach preserves the factory configuration rather than pushing the Wrangler toward a heavily modified trail rig.
The listing reports some scuffs on the seat backs as the principal known cosmetic flaw. The included sale equipment consists of one key, the owner’s manual, and a charging cable.
Service documentation is another important part of the vehicle’s story. The Carfax records an oil and filter service at 28,589 miles in September 2026, followed by fuel-system work in May 2026. Earlier 2026 service included replacement of a crankshaft oil seal, fuel-pump gasket, fuel-line hose, and serpentine belt. Four tires were replaced in April 2025 at 21,924 miles.
A Modern Wrangler With a Distinctive Formula
The 2024 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara 4xe occupies an unusual position in the Wrangler range. It combines the packaging and comfort of the four-door Unlimited with a 375-hp electrified powertrain, substantial torque, genuine four-wheel-drive hardware, and the Sahara’s more road-oriented equipment.
With 28,700 miles, a clean history, documented maintenance, charging equipment, and only modest aftermarket additions, this Cars & Bids example presents its specifications largely as Jeep intended. Its eventual auction result will provide another data point for the developing market around used plug-in-hybrid Wranglers.
