2027 Jeep Compass Gains Standard Adaptive Cruise Control and New Features

2027 Jeep Compass celebrates 20 years with new features

Jeep is updating the Compass for the 2027 model year with additional standard driver-assistance technology, improved convenience features, and new exterior color options as the compact SUV celebrates its 20th anniversary. Remaining the entry point to the Jeep lineup, the Compass continues to offer a choice of five trims, including the Trailhawk, which brings enhanced off-road capability.

More Standard Technology for 2027

The most significant update is the addition of standard adaptive cruise control across the entire 2027 Compass lineup. The system expands driver-assistance availability regardless of trim level, while higher-specification models receive additional equipment designed to improve everyday usability.

The Limited, Limited Altitude, and Trailhawk now include a standard wireless charging pad and second-row USB ports. Buyers of these trims can also select the optional Premium Lighting Group, which adds LED headlights, taillights, and fog lights.

Another available upgrade is the Driver Assist Package, which introduces a 360-degree camera system and a Universal Garage Door Opener on the Limited, Limited Altitude, and Trailhawk. These additions enhance visibility during low-speed maneuvers and provide extra convenience for daily driving.

Jeep is also positioning the Limited Altitude as a value-focused option. The trim now costs just $995 more than the Limited, offering additional equipment for a relatively modest premium.

Turbocharged Power and Trailhawk Capability

Every 2027 Jeep Compass is powered by a standard 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine producing 200 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque. Jeep describes these figures as best-in-class for standard horsepower and torque.

The automaker also claims unsurpassed standard maximum towing capability within the segment, although the supplied announcement does not specify a towing figure.

For drivers seeking greater off-road performance, the Compass Trailhawk retains its position as the most capability-focused variant. Its class-exclusive two-speed power transfer unit (PTU) supports the model’s enhanced four-wheel-drive capability.

New Colors and Pricing

The 2027 Compass will be offered in Latitude, Latitude Altitude, Limited, Limited Altitude, and Trailhawk configurations. Four new colors—Ghost, Copper Shino, ’41, and Goldilocks—are scheduled for late availability. Existing choices include Joose, Diamond Black, Bright White, Sting Gray, Red Hot, Hydro Blue, and Fathom Blue. Production continues at Stellantis’ Toluca Assembly Plant in Mexico.

Orders for the 2027 Jeep Compass are open now, with prices starting at $31,985, including a $1,995 destination charge. The latest updates focus on improving standard equipment and everyday convenience while preserving the compact SUV’s established combination of turbocharged performance and available Trail Rated capability.
