Jeep has updated the 2027 Gladiator lineup with revised standard equipment, expanded appearance packages and additional off-road-focused features. The changes span the entry-level Sport S, luxury-oriented Sahara, and trail-rated Rubicon and Mojave models, while new and returning special editions broaden customization options.
What’s New for 2027?
The Sport S receives a more substantial standard equipment package, including a 7-inch TFT color instrument cluster, passive entry, all-terrain tires and 17-inch machined aluminum wheels. The Sahara adds a vented power dome hood and side steps as standard. An available 20-inch premium wheel package includes machined wheels, all-terrain tires, heavy-duty Dana 44 axles and a Trac-Lok limited-slip rear differential.
The Rubicon and Mojave now come standard with body-color fender flares, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel and embedded navigation. The Rubicon X and Mojave X also gain the Cargo Management Group as standard, incorporating a 115-volt bed power outlet, roll-up tonneau cover, lockable and removable rear underseat storage bin, and bed-mounted Trail Rail System.
Jeep has revised hardtop availability, too. The Willys and Rubicon include a standard black hardtop, while the Mojave receives a body-color hardtop.
New and Returning Special Editions
The Gladiator Altitude, based on the Sport S, features black 20-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, wide-track Dana 44 heavy-duty axles, a Trac-Lok limited-slip rear differential and dark exterior accents. An optional performance hood adds further visual distinction.
The High Altitude returns on the Sahara platform, combining machined 20-inch wheels with body-color bumpers, mirrors, door handles and tailgate handles. Nappa leather seats, wide-track Dana 44 axles and a Trac-Lok differential are also included. The model will be available in Black, Bright White and Sting-Gray, with an optional performance hood.
For buyers seeking additional factory-backed accessories, the Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) Mojave builds on the Desert Rated Mojave. Mopar additions include a triple-hoop grille guard, hood graphics, black grille, multi-accessory rail, cold-air intake, all-weather floor mats and an 83-piece tool kit. Camel Katzkin leather seats with Terracotta stitching and embroidery complete the package.
Powertrain and Off-Road Capability
All 2027 Gladiator models use a 3.6-liter V-6 producing 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, paired exclusively with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The pickup retains a maximum towing capacity of 7,700 pounds and a payload rating of up to 1,720 pounds. Its maximum crawl ratio reaches 86:1, while available four-wheel-drive systems include Command-Trac, Rock-Trac in part-time and full-time configurations, and Selec-Trac full-time four-wheel drive.
Depending on configuration, the Gladiator offers a 46.7-degree approach angle, 26.7-degree departure angle, 23.3-degree breakover angle and up to 12.9 inches of ground clearance. Maximum water-fording capability is rated at 34 inches.
2027 Jeep Gladiator Colors and Trim Lineup
The model range comprises the Sport S, Willys, Sahara, Mojave, Mojave X, Rubicon and Rubicon X, with Altitude, High Altitude and JPP Mojave packages adding further variety.
Exterior colors include Anvil, Black, Bright White, Granite Crystal, Hydro Blue and ’41. Firecracker Red, Hella Yella, Sting-Gray, Gobi and Ghost are scheduled for late availability, alongside the limited-edition Fathom Blue and new limited-edition Gum 31. Interior color options include Black and Black/Mantis Green.
The 2027 changes focus on expanding standard equipment, improving convenience and giving buyers more ways to tailor the Gladiator to their needs. Heated seating and navigation on Rubicon and Mojave models, additional cargo-management equipment on the X packages, and the expanded special-edition range strengthen the lineup without changing its core V-6 powertrain or established off-road capabilities.
