Jeep has built its reputation around four-wheel-drive capability, but some of its production vehicles have developed enough power to challenge dedicated performance SUVs. From the 707-hp supercharged Grand Cherokee Trackhawk to the 540-hp Hurricane-powered Grand Wagoneer, Jeep’s factory performance hierarchy extends well beyond the traditional V8 era.
This list ranks the most powerful series-production Jeeps by factory-rated horsepower, including their respective model years and published performance figures. It excludes aftermarket conversions, dealer-installed superchargers, concepts and one-off builds.
1. 2018–2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk — 707 HP
The Grand Cherokee Trackhawk remains the most powerful production Jeep ever sold. Introduced for the 2018 model year, the Trackhawk transplanted Chrysler’s supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat HEMI V8 into the WK2 Grand Cherokee.
The engine produced 707 hp and 645 lb-ft of torque, making the Trackhawk substantially more powerful than the naturally aspirated Grand Cherokee SRT. Power went through an upgraded TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel-drive system engineered to handle the Hellcat’s torque output.
Jeep quoted 0–60 mph in 3.5 seconds, a quarter-mile time of 11.6 seconds at 116 mph, and a 180-mph top speed. It also used Brembo brakes, adaptive Bilstein damping and a five-mode Selec-Track system to turn the Grand Cherokee into a genuine high-performance SUV.

2. 2025 Jeep Grand Wagoneer — 540 HP
The 2025 Grand Wagoneer briefly pushed Jeep’s full-size luxury SUV power output to a new level with the High Output version of the 3.0-liter Hurricane twin-turbocharged inline-six.
For 2025, the engine produced 540 hp and 521 lb-ft of torque, exceeding the output of the earlier 6.4-liter HEMI V8 and the 510-hp Hurricane used in previous Grand Wagoneers. Contemporary testing of the long-wheelbase Grand Wagoneer recorded acceleration to 60 mph in approximately 4.6 seconds.
The significance of the 2025 Grand Wagoneer is that Jeep achieved its highest-ever factory horsepower figure outside the Trackhawk without a V8. The Hurricane’s twin turbochargers allowed the smaller-displacement inline-six to deliver considerably more power than the outgoing naturally aspirated V8.

3. 2022–2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer — 510 HP
When the Grand Wagoneer debuted for 2022, it was initially available with a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 producing 471 hp and 455 lb-ft. Jeep subsequently introduced the High Output 3.0-liter Hurricane inline-six, raising output to 510 hp and 500 lb-ft.
That made the Hurricane-powered Grand Wagoneer one of the quickest full-size Jeeps ever built. Independent testing of the long-wheelbase version recorded a 0–60 mph time around 5.0 seconds, while the Hurricane powertrain was capable of towing up to approximately 9,810 pounds in the Grand Wagoneer configuration.

4. 2015–2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT — 475 HP
The Grand Cherokee SRT occupied the performance slot below the Trackhawk. Its naturally aspirated 6.4-liter HEMI V8 produced 475 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque in later model years.
Unlike the supercharged Trackhawk, the SRT relied on naturally aspirated displacement and high-flow cylinder heads, with the eight-speed automatic sending power through Jeep’s all-wheel-drive system.
Jeep quoted 0–100 km/h in 4.8 seconds, a quarter-mile in the mid-13-second range, and a 160-mph top speed for the SRT configuration cited by Jeep.

5. 2021–2025 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 — 470 HP
The Wrangler Rubicon 392 represents one of the most important performance milestones in Jeep history. Introduced for 2021, it returned a factory V8 to the Wrangler after an absence of almost four decades.
Its 6.4-liter HEMI V8 generates 470 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired exclusively with an eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission and Selec-Trac full-time four-wheel drive.
Jeep’s official figures put the Wrangler 392 at 0–60 mph in 4.5 seconds and through the quarter mile in 13.0 seconds. Yet straight-line acceleration is only part of its appeal. The Rubicon 392 combines its V8 with a factory 2-inch lift, Dana 44 axles, electronic locking differentials, FOX shocks and 33-inch tires.
It also provides 10.3 inches of ground clearance, a 44.5-degree approach angle and the ability to ford up to 32.5 inches of water.

6. 2013–2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8/SRT — Up to 470 HP
Before the 475-hp version arrived, the 6.4-liter Grand Cherokee SRT produced 470 hp. This generation established the formula that would eventually lead to the Trackhawk: large-displacement V8 power, sophisticated four-wheel drive and a performance-oriented chassis.
The 6.4-liter SRT combined 470 hp with 465 lb-ft of torque, giving the Grand Cherokee considerably more performance than the regular V8 versions of the SUV.
The later 475-hp calibration effectively superseded this configuration, but the 470-hp SRT remains an important step in Jeep’s performance-SUV evolution.

7. 2022–2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer — 471 HP HEMI
Before Hurricane power arrived, the first Grand Wagoneer used a naturally aspirated 6.4-liter HEMI V8 rated at 471 hp and 455 lb-ft of torque.
The V8-powered Grand Wagoneer was capable of moving the large luxury SUV to 60 mph in approximately 5.4 seconds. It also provided substantial towing capability while retaining the traditional V8 character expected from the Wagoneer name.
Although it was subsequently eclipsed by the 510-hp Hurricane and then the 540-hp version, the 471-hp HEMI Grand Wagoneer remains one of the most powerful naturally aspirated Jeeps ever sold.

8. 2021–2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe — 375 HP
The Wrangler 4xe took a completely different approach to performance. Rather than relying on displacement, Jeep combined a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with electric motors and a high-voltage battery system.
The resulting plug-in hybrid system produces 375 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. That torque figure is particularly notable because it matches the Wrangler 392’s peak torque despite the 4xe using a much smaller combustion engine.
The 4xe therefore became one of the most powerful Wranglers ever produced while adding the ability to operate using electric power for shorter journeys.

9. 2022–2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe — 375 HP
The Grand Cherokee 4xe uses a related plug-in hybrid strategy to produce 375 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. Its combination of turbocharged gasoline power and electric assistance gave the fifth-generation Grand Cherokee substantially more system torque than the standard four-cylinder powertrain.
The 4xe also demonstrated how Jeep could preserve high performance while moving its mainstream SUVs toward electrification.

10. 2023–2025 Jeep Wagoneer — 420 HP
The standard Wagoneer entered its Hurricane era with the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six. For the 2023–2025 period, the engine produced 420 hp and 468 lb-ft of torque, replacing the earlier 392-hp 5.7-liter HEMI V8.
Despite producing less power than the High Output Hurricane used in the Grand Wagoneer, the standard Hurricane Wagoneer delivered strong acceleration for a full-size three-row SUV. Jeep’s configuration was rated at approximately 5.4 seconds from 0–60 mph.

Jeep’s Factory Power Evolution
The progression from the 470-hp Grand Cherokee SRT to the 707-hp Trackhawk illustrates how quickly Jeep’s performance strategy evolved. The Trackhawk pushed a production Jeep into supercar acceleration territory, while the Wrangler Rubicon 392 demonstrated that a factory V8 could be integrated into an off-road platform without sacrificing its Trail Rated hardware.
The subsequent arrival of the Hurricane engine changed the equation again. The 2025 Grand Wagoneer’s 540-hp High Output Hurricane surpassed the power output of every Jeep production vehicle except the Trackhawk, despite using six cylinders rather than eight.
There is an important model-year distinction, however. Jeep’s current full-size lineup has changed its engine strategy again. The 2026 Grand Wagoneer is rated at 420 hp, meaning the 540-hp figure belongs specifically to the 2025 model year rather than the current vehicle.
Ultimately, the factory Jeep power story is defined by three distinct eras: the naturally aspirated HEMI performance SUVs, the 707-hp Hellcat-powered Trackhawk, and the modern Hurricane-powered Wagoneer family. The Trackhawk remains the peak in outright factory horsepower, while the Wrangler 392 stands apart as Jeep’s defining high-output off-road V8.
