Jeep has expanded the all-new Compass lineup in Europe by opening order books for two new fully electric variants: the flagship Compass 4xe and the front-wheel-drive Long Range BEV. The move reinforces the brand’s multi-energy strategy, giving buyers a wider choice of electrified powertrains while strengthening the Compass’ position as one of Jeep’s most important global models.
Designed in Turin, Italy, and produced at Stellantis’ Melfi plant, the latest Compass is built on the STLA Medium platform, which supports multiple electrified powertrains. Since its debut in 2006, the Compass has surpassed 2.5 million global sales, making it one of Jeep’s best-selling vehicles worldwide.
Leading the range is the all-electric Compass 4xe, which combines dual electric motors with standard all-wheel drive to produce a total of 375 horsepower. Powered by a 96.1-kWh usable battery, the SUV delivers more than 600 kilometers (WLTP) of driving range while supporting rapid DC charging that replenishes the battery from 20 to 80 percent in approximately 27 minutes.
Jeep has engineered the 4xe to remain true to the brand’s off-road heritage. The model features increased ground clearance, improved approach and departure angles, up to 480 mm of water-fording capability, and Jeep’s Selec-Terrain system with dedicated driving modes for challenging conditions. A specially developed rear electric motor enables up to 3,100 Nm of torque at the rear wheels, allowing the vehicle to maintain traction even in demanding off-road environments.
Alongside the flagship model, Jeep also introduced a new front-wheel-drive Compass Long Range BEV. Equipped with a slightly larger 96.3-kWh battery and a 231-horsepower electric motor, it offers a class-leading WLTP driving range of up to 674 kilometers while retaining the same fast-charging capability.
The expanded Compass family now includes e-Hybrid, plug-in hybrid, standard battery-electric, Long Range BEV, and the performance-focused 4xe, giving European customers more flexibility than ever in choosing the powertrain, drivetrain, and performance level that best fits their needs. Orders for the new variants are now open across Europe, with deliveries expected to begin following the phased market rollout.
